Terms of Service
These are the terms on which NetherStart Partners provides this website and its forms, and works for the clients who engage us.
Who we are and what these terms cover
This website is run by NetherStart Partners, and NetherStart Partners is the party you contract with when you engage us. You can reach us at the office address, email address and phone number below; the phone is answered during the office hours shown with them.

These terms apply when you use this website and its forms, and to every service we agree with a client. Each engagement is confirmed in writing, in a proposal or engagement letter that sets out its scope, its steps and its fee.
Using this website
This part applies to everyone who uses the site, client or not:
- Our guides and pages explain Dutch rules in general, each figure dated and with its source.
- They are not advice on your own situation; choosing a legal form or route is for a conversation with us.
- Rules and fees change after the date shown, so check a figure before you rely on it.
- Links to official sources open sites we do not control.
- Our forms are for real enquiries, never for automated or abusive sending.
- The site's text, images and design are ours or licensed: quote no more than a short passage, with a link.
Forms and enquiries
Sending a form on this site (the contact form, the enquiry form on the home page, the onboarding questionnaire or the payment form) creates no contract and commits you to nothing. No form takes a payment itself: an invoice is paid only as described under "Fees, payments and refunds" below. We reply by email from the address given above. What each form sends with your enquiry is set out in our Privacy Policy, under context sent with every form.
How an engagement works
You tell us what you need
Use a form on this site, write to us or call us during office hours.
We send a written proposal
It sets out the scope, the steps and who performs each (you, us, a notary, the KVK or another provider), our fee, and the state and third-party fees as separate items.
We identify you before any work starts
Where the anti-money-laundering act (Wwft) applies to a service, we identify the client and its ultimate beneficial owner first (Wwft, articles 3 and 4). Article 5 does not allow the relationship to start without it, so we cannot begin until it is complete. For our business address service, this applies to every client.
You accept the proposal in writing
The engagement starts from that acceptance.
We do the work and keep you informed
Where we deal with an authority for you, we act under your written authorisation, which an authority may ask a representative to show (article 2:1 of the General Administrative Law Act).
We invoice as the proposal says
Payment works as described under "Fees, payments and refunds" below.
What you provide
We rely on the information and documents you give us. You provide:
- Complete and correct information and documents.
- Everything on time: a deadline cannot be met on a file we have not received.
- Any change reported to us: address, owners, directors or activity.
- An explanation of the source of your funds when we ask for one.
- A careful reading of every document before you sign it.
What we do not do
We do not:
- Act as a director of your company, or provide a nominee director or shareholder (Wet toezicht trustkantoren 2018, article 1).
- Act as your general attorney-in-fact under a general power of attorney.
- Sell, broker or match companies; for an existing BV, we assist the buyer in a share transfer a Dutch notary executes (article 2:196 of the Dutch Civil Code).
- Combine our business address with any other service: a client who takes our registered office or virtual office address takes no other service from us.
- Register an eenmanszaak (sole proprietorship) for you: the owner registers it personally at the KVK (KVK, checked on 8 October 2026); we prepare and accompany.
- Execute deeds: a Dutch civil-law notary (notaris) does, and charges their own fee.
- Hold an accountant title or audit accounts; we keep books and prepare returns (Wet op het accountantsberoep, article 41).
- Represent you in court.
- Promise the outcome or timing of a decision by the KVK, the Belastingdienst (the tax administration), the IND (the immigration service), BOIP, a notary or a bank.
Acting as a director or general attorney-in-fact for a client, selling legal entities, and an address combined with certain other work for the same client are trust services that Dutch law reserves to offices licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). We do not offer them.
Other providers
A notary, a licensed fiscal representative, BOIP (the Benelux trade mark office), a bank and any other provider act under their own terms, decide on their own files and charge their own fees. Where we arrange fiscal representation, we arrange it through a licensed representative. We coordinate their steps with you; each provider answers for its own work.
Fees, payments and refunds
This website shows no price for our services. Each fee is quoted in writing, in euros, in the proposal for that engagement. State fees (the KVK, the IND, BOIP) and third-party fees (a notary, a translator, a fiscal representative) are named in the proposal as separate items and paid as it says.
- Invoices are issued in euros (EUR).
- An invoice is paid by bank transfer to the account it names, or through our payment page with the invoice number.
While online payment is being connected, a payment request sent through the payment page reaches us by email. Nothing is charged, and we reply with how to pay.
Refunds
To ask for a refund, or if you think one invoice has been paid twice, write to us at info@starting-a-business-in-the-netherlands.com with the invoice number. We answer in writing.
Liability
We do the work agreed in each engagement with care. We do not answer for:
- The decisions or timing of an authority, a notary or a bank.
- The work of another provider, done under its own terms.
- The result of information that was incomplete or incorrect when you gave it to us.
- A decision taken on the general information of this website alone.
- A payment sent to any account other than the one our invoice names.
Confidentiality and ending an engagement
We keep what you tell us confidential and use it only for your engagement, except where the law obliges us to report or disclose it, such as the reporting duty under the Wwft. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Either side can end an engagement in writing. We do not start an engagement, or we end it, when the identification described in step 3 above cannot be completed. Work done up to the end is invoiced.
Law, complaints and changes
Dutch law governs these terms and every engagement with us. These terms are written in English, and the English text is the only version.
If something has gone wrong, write first to info@starting-a-business-in-the-netherlands.com, saying what happened and on which engagement. We answer in writing.
Changes to these terms
The date under the title changes with every change to these terms. An engagement already agreed keeps the terms that applied when it was agreed, unless both sides agree otherwise in writing.
