The NetherStart Partners Team

Three people in our Amsterdam office prepare a founder's files and the pages of this site.

Daan Mulder

Launch and legal forms lead

Daan checks whether a founder's activity needs a KVK registration and which conditions each legal form sets. Daan prepares the documents a sole trader, a freelancer or two VOF partners take to their KVK appointment, and goes with them; the registration is theirs. For a first BV, Daan assembles the file the notary works from; the notary executes the deed.

Noor prepares quarterly VAT returns, a zzp'er's income tax return and the return for the year of a move, a first-year BV's corporate income tax return and first annual accounts for filing, and runs a first employee's payroll as the client's payroll tax service provider.

Lina Haddad

Founder permits and banking lead

Lina prepares DAFT, start-up and self-employed permit files; the applicant signs and the IND decides. For a founder who moves, Lina explains the order: the municipal (BRP) or non-resident (RNI) registration, the BSN, DigiD, then the KVK. For a new business account, Lina prepares the documents a bank, an e-money institution or a payment provider asks for; the bank decides.

Pages Lina reviewed

Lina also reviewed the two pages of our business address, which is a separate service:

Who prepared and who reviewed each page

Every service page and guide on this site names the person who prepared it and a different person who reviewed it. The date beside the two names says when the page was last updated, and each name links to that person's card above.

Where our work stops

  • Only the owner registers a sole proprietorship at the KVK; we prepare and go along.
  • A Dutch notary executes the deed of a BV; we prepare the file.
  • The IND decides on a residence permit, and the applicant signs the application.
  • A bank decides whether to open an account, and no outcome is promised.
  • None of us is a lawyer (advocaat), a notary or an accountant.
  • None of us acts as a client's director or sells a company.

How to reach the team

None of the three publishes a personal email address or a direct line. Write to the team through the contact form, by email to info@starting-a-business-in-the-netherlands.com, or call +31 20 555 7777, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, Amsterdam time. A founder who already knows what they need can fill in the onboarding questionnaire.
